So Many Trees!
We’ve gotten probably about 10, 12 semi-loads of trees this week. Starting to get the big maple trees, even some 22-foot birch trees! If you’re looking for full-grown, it’s not quite full-grown, but boy, it’s bigger than what you’ll find anywhere else. Instant shade, instant impact in the front yard, especially on two-story homes. We’ve got a lot of our larger evergreens that have come in, a lot of the screen trees. I think we brought in over 400 arborvitae this week, several different varieties.
There’s a single-trunked, witch hazel tree as well, It’s really, really, really rare. You don’t see a lot of them. Usually they’re grown as a bush, and this grower actually grafted it onto a standard and grew it as a tree. It doesn’t get large, but it is the first tree to flower every spring. It flowers a couple weeks before the forsythia flower, which is a real common yellow bush that most people know. But this witch hazel tree really is the one that truly announces that spring is right around the corner. And it’s got beautiful, bright yellow flowers on it.
And so, we’re filling up! We’ve got a lot of our evergreen loads that are coming in this time of year. We try to get them in early and get them untied, spaced out, priced, organized. That way later as the customers start to trickle in, we can spend our time waiting on customers instead of unloading trucks. You know, just try to be efficient with our time. We’ve got a lot of really nice 10-foot evergreens, Norway spruce, a lot of arborvitaes. We even have some yellow arborvitaes, which are really rare, and usually we don’t get them much bigger than 3-foot because they’re not available. We found some growers that have 5- and 6-footers available this year, so we do have some of the bigger yellow varieties in as well.
Stop on in and look around for yourself, get some trees for your yard! We deliver and we can plant them for you.
