Description
Want to turn your garden into a pollinator paradise? Buddleia x weyeriana ‘Bicolor’ is a butterfly bush like no other. Its flower spikes start a deep raspberry rose and fade to a creamy butterscotch yellow—creating a jaw-dropping ombré effect from summer into fall. This bold bloomer grows 6–8 feet tall and 5–7 feet wide, making it the perfect back-of-the-border stunner.
Not only is it gorgeous, it’s fragrant and absolutely irresistible to butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Even better? Deer want nothing to do with it. Whether you’re planting a wildlife-friendly garden or just want to stop traffic with your flower power, this is the shrub for the job.
Plant it in full sun and give it well-drained soil—it doesn’t like wet feet, but it’s easygoing otherwise. Once established, it’s drought-tolerant and low maintenance. You can even clip a few of its long, fragrant flower spikes for cut arrangements.
Perfect as a focal point, in borders, or as a fast-growing screen, ‘Bicolor’ brings color, height, and wildlife to your landscape in one easy-care package.
