Pruning Roses with Rohr’s Nursery

Don’t be nervous about pruning your roses incorrectly.
Roses are very forgiving. Each year the plants produce strong new shoots, giving you beautiful blossoms and another try at pruning.
- The best time to prune most roses islate winter or early spring about 4-6 weeks before the last frost.
- Summer pruning is just a matter of removing the faded blooms throughout the growing season.
- Because pruning promotes new growth, discontinue in late summer to avoid subjecting plants to winter damage.
